Sharen Alberta Johnston

Sharen Alberta Johnston of Collinsville passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Tulsa Oklahoma.  She was 66.

Visitation for Sharen will be Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Talala with Rev. Kelvin Limbocker officiating.

Sharen was born on May 12, 1954 in Rockford, IL to Edwin Lowell Foster and the former Darlene Elizabeth Moore.    Sharen married Donnie Ray Johnston on March 20, 1987. She has lived in Collinsville since the early 80’s, where she ran a daycare out of her home.  Her love of children also led her to take in many foster children.  Sharen’s compassion and love have touched the hearts of numerous children throughout the years.  Family time was important to her, especially time spent with the grandkids.  She enjoyed camping and made many memories with the family in doing so.  Sharen made such an impact on so many people’s lives.  She will be missed by many.

Sharen is survived by her husband Donnie Johnston; her children, Clint Lowery and Michelle Colfax, Karie Farris, Jennifer Johnston, Cory Bailey and Mae Phillips, David and Brigette Bailey, and Angelic Johnston; her mother Darlene Gaines and husband Don; 3 sisters, Helen Todd, Maureen Satterfield, and Liz Wall; 7 grandchildren, Channing Lowery, Koby Bailey, Mackenzie Woods, Austin Woods, Jordan Bailey, Iversyn Bailey, and Emmarose Johnston; great granddaughter Stella Shore; and a host of nieces, nephews, foster children, family and friends.  Sharen was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Foster and her father-in-law Ross Johnston.
