Zachary James Stribling passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2022, leaving his family and friends in shock and deeply saddened.
Zack was born to Jamie and Anne Stribling on May 17, 1986, in Syracuse, Nebraska, and was raised in Skiatook, Oklahoma. After graduating high school in 2005 he went on to earn his Master Welding Certificate from Tulsa Welding School in 2012. Zack married Savannah Forbes in 2009, and he became the proud dad of her son Gatlin. Together they had two handsome and energetic boys, Jamie Edward Colt and Collin Mossberg.
Zack was the youngest of four children and spent much of his childhood pestering his older sisters; as their only brother it was his obligation. Zack loved to spend time outdoors, especially camping and fishing. He never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. Zack was an amazing welder and loved his craft. At his most recent job, working as a ranch hand, he was able to pursue his love of welding, hard work, and the outdoors.
Zack battled addiction for much of his life. He was a fierce and persistent fighter, with months to years of sobriety throughout the last decade. Zack came to know his Lord and Savior in the last few years, and he hoped and trusted that one day he would be free from his fight. Zack is home and free at last.
Zack was preceded in death by his father, Jamie Stribling, maternal grandfather, John Walsh, and paternal grandparents, Stephen and Edna Stribling. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Anne Stribling, children Gatlin Forbes, Jamie and Collin Stribling, and three sisters: Bonnie Hignite and her husband Tim and their children Hudson, Harrison and Harper; Carrie Smith and her husband Kory and their daughter Charlotte; Chelsey Freeman and her husband Jason and their children Kius, Seth and Ady. He leaves behind many other family members and friends.
