Willie Mae Pilkington

Willie Mae Pilkington, 75, passed away at her home Sunday, July 1, 2007 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on April 14, 1932 in Okay, Oklahoma.

Survivors include her husband, of almost 55 years, G.L. Pilkington. They were married December 25, 1952. Daughter Debra Burchett of Talala, sons Gary and daughter-in-law Gail Pilkington of Oologah, Clay Pilkington of Oologah, daughter Zenda and son-in-law John Chase of Woodward, OK. Her grandchildren, Dax and wife Amber Burchett, Luke Pilkington, Matt Pilkington, Joe Pilkington, Tristan Todd and great grandchild Jaxson Burchett. Sibling include Jackie Kirk, Guy and sister-in-law Ester McCollum, Willis and sister-in-law Hope McCollum, Geraldine and brother-in-law Robert Hall, Beulah and brother-in-law Don Sullivan, Ray McCollum, Betty McCollum, Cornell and sister-in-law Nadine McCollum, Shelby and sister-in-law Karen McCollum, Billy and sister-in-law Sandy McCollum, Bobby and sister-in-law Kathy McCollum and many nieces, nephews. She also leaves behind many loving and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe and Irene McCollum and sister Pearl Dye and brothers Eugene, Floyd, Jerry and Mike McCollum.

Willie spent many years working as a rural mail carrier at the Collinsville post office but her main job was in the home caring for her family. She will always live on in her loved ones hearts.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Baptist Tabernacle Church with interment following at Oakhill Cemetery in Oologah, OK.
