William Louis Rosenow

William Louis “Bill” Rosenow of Talala, OK passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Tulsa. He was 69. Bill was born on May 30, 1947 in Freeport, IL to his parents August and Genevieve (VanVuran) Rosenow. He graduated from Milledgeville High School in 1965. He moved to Oklahoma in 1975 after working as a dairy farmer in Illinois. Bill married Dortha Hartman in 1975 and together they raised 3 children. Bill worked for Boeing for 30 years. He enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables. Bill was a cattleman and enjoyed working on tractors and participating in antique tractor pulls. Above all else, his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandkids.

Bill is survived by his wife Dortha Rosenow of the home; his sons, Matt Rosenow, his wife Kimberly and their children, Noah and Caitlynn, and Tom Rosenow, his wife Janessa and their children, William Blake, Elizabeth, and Dylan; his daughter Claire Rosenow, her fiancé Dan Markham, and her children, Landen, John, and Emma; his brother Allen Rosenow and wife Cindy; his sisters, Marlene Gelsinger and husband Darrel, Gloria Engel, and Ardith Spencer; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Rosenow, and his sister Janice Adams.

Visitation for Bill will be Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Oologah Assembly of God with Rev. Kent Jensen officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111.
