William Arthur Rogers

William Arthur Rogers, 77, of Owasso, OK passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. He was born November 2, 1937 in Delano, CA to Robert Ralph Rogers and the former Wyvern Amanda Goman. He retired from The United States Air Force in 1975 after 20 years of services. He was active in the Turley Round-Up Club and a member of the VFW. For many years, William was the coordinator of the Oologah Pioneer Days Parade.

He is survived by his wife: Liz Rogers of the home. 3 Children: Judi McCarty and her husband Kenneth Chalakee of Keefer, OK, Teri Brown and her husband Kevin of Litchfield, NH and Stephanie Pitts of Tulsa, OK. 5 step-Children: Dale Cokely, Trish Ready, Michael Salyers, Stacy Riggs-VonSchriltz and Christy Webb and her husband Travis. 5 Brothers and sisters: Laverne Nelson, Jim Rogers, Roy Rogers, Carolyn Bailey and Clare Jean Boyd. He is also survived by numerous, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Pat Rogers, son-in-law: Larry Cooper, great-granddaughter: Kyleigh Pitts, brother-in-law: Ted Bailey, and 2 nephews: Brian Moser and Brad Moser.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Oologah, OK with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Sandridge Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
