Willene Robinson of Collinsville, OK passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Collinsville. She was 73. Willene was born on December 10, 1940 to Melvin Eugene Matlock and the former Mildred Marie Cannon in Glencoe, OK. She married Ervin Robinson on October 1, 1959 in Claremore, and together they raised two children. Willene worked as a Receiving Manager for many years at Hughes Lumber and for Wal-Mart. She was quite the artist and enjoyed painting. Willene’s interests also included gardening, crocheting, and making quilts. She will be missed by many.
Willene is survived by her husband Ervin Robinson of the home; her children, Curtis Robinson and wife Debbie of Tulsa, and Lorrie Brackett and husband Kevin of Collinsville; her siblings, Carroll Moore of Pawnee, Ted Matlock and wife Donna of Prue, and Nancy Hancock and husband Myron of Warrior, AL; 6 grandchildren, Austin Robinson, Brandi Hardesty, John “B.J.” Brackett, and Dustin “Deter” Brackett, Taylor Clark and Payton Clark; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Willene was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mildred Matlock.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Bethel Cemetery in Glencoe, OK with Jack Reeves officiating. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111.
