Virginia Corrine King

Virginia Corrine King, 84, of Collinsville, OK passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Tulsa, OK. She was born April 2, 1927 in Tulsa to Alonzo Allen Kidd and the former Edna Peace Cooper. She had lived in Collinsville most of her life. She retired in May of 1992 from the Hominy Public Schools. She was a member of the National Education Association. She was also a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church where she was very active.

She is survived by her son: Bill King and his wife Donna of Skiatook. 4 grandchildren: Jeff King and his wife Sara of Skiatook, Kacey King and his wife Melissa of Owasso, Michael King of Collinsville and Christina Maneth and her husband Dale of Great Bend, KS. 1 Brother: Jon Kidd and his wife Patricia of Adair, OK. She is also survived by 7 Great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Leslie King and 1 son, David Emmett King.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Memorial will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the St. Therese Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2011 at the St. Therese Catholic Church with Father Richard Cristler officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Therese Catholic Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
