Virgil D. Evans

Virgil D. “Dan” Evans, 66 of Collinsville, OK passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 in Tulsa, OK. He was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a retired truck driver. He served his country during Vietnam in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Collinsville, OK. He was born September 26, 1941 to Virgil R. and Elena “Christy” Evans in Tulsa, OK.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home. 2 children: Paul Dwain Evans and his wife Sheila of Disney, OK and Shannon Evan-Reynolds of Collinsville, OK. 2 sisters: Mary Louise Stillwell of Arkansas and Norma Jean Bell of Tulsa, OK. 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the First Assembly of God Church in Collinsville with the Rev. Kenneth Horn Officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Pallbearers will be: Paul Evans, Tim Reynolds, Donald Sortore, Ernest Canfield, Virgil Robinson and Kevin Ragsdale. Honorary pallbearer will be: Brian Ragsdale. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
