Victor James Nichols, 81, of Collinsville, OK passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 in Tulsa, OK. He was born June 17, 1938 in Okmulgee, OK to Victor Otto Nichols and Helen Lolita (Hendrix) Nichols. He had lived in Collinsville since 2015 having moved from Claremore. He started working in 1962 for Public Service of Oklahoma. He retired from PSO in 1998. He was a member of the Donut Shop Boys of Oologah.
Visitation will be noon to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Okmulgee Cemetery in Okmulgee, OK.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Oologah Assembly of God Church with Chaplain Roger Sheppard and Brother Paul Malveaux officiating.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Jane Brown of Morris, OK.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Nichols of the home, 4 children: Penny Clark of Owasso, James Nichols and his wife Cara of Stillwater, Rodney Nichols and his wife Erika of Edmond, and Ashley Sandoval and her husband Art of Albuquerque, NM, 7 Grandchildren: Amy VanVleet, Nathan Clark, Jake Nichols, Britton Nichols, Emily Nichols, Mikayla Sandoval and Thomas Sandoval. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Peggy Chancey of Okmulgee and Judy Forrest of Broken Arrow.
