Velma N. Brant

Velma Noreen Brant of Collinsville, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at her home. She was 86. Velma was born on March 14, 1928 to Jesse and Annie (Clark) Medlock in Mounds, OK. She worked for a time in Shipping and Receiving for Beech Aircraft in Wichita, KS. Velma moved to the Collinsville area from Muldrow in 1999. She was a member of the Collinsville Church of Christ. She enjoyed volunteering at the Church of Christ Food Pantry and attending the Ladies Bible Study. She will be missed by many.

Velma is survived by 2 stepchildren, George Brant and Zagonyi Tungate; her sister Loretta Rader and husband Max; 6 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Velma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shirley George Brant; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and 1 step-son.

Visitation for Velma will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Harris officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Mounds, OK. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111.
