Uylus Ray Welch

Uylus Ray Welch, 78, of Catoosa, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013. Uylus was born September 13, 1934 in Rush Springs, OK to Jesse and Velma (Swagerty) Welch. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He has lived in the area since 1968 having moved from Moore, OK. His interests included OU Football, fishing, working on projects with his son or friends, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Rita enjoyed going to estate and garage sales together. She preceded him in death on October 11, 2004.

Uylus is survived by 3 children, Tony Welch and wife Rhonda of the home, Michael Welch of Catoosa, and Lisa Todd and husband Bill of Yadkinville, NC; his brother, Burl Davis of Shawnee, OK; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Uylus was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister Betty, and 2 brothers, Orvil Welch and James McWhorter.

Visitation for Uylus will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hermon Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com.
