Tyler Clark Jones, born on February 13, 1997, in Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, in Bixby, Oklahoma. A man whose journey spanned several cities, Tyler found a lasting home in the area after moving from San Diego over ten years ago. His life was marked not only by the places he lived but by the warmth and passion he brought to every chapter.
Tyler worked with dedication as a Landside Agent at Tulsa International Airport, where his professionalism and care contributed quietly but meaningfully each day. He was known to those close to him for his love of reading, a hobby that transported him to new worlds and enriched his spirit. Fiercely competitive by nature, Tyler found joy and camaraderie in video games, card games, and playing disc golf—activities that not only challenged him but also connected him to friends and family through shared moments of fun and friendly rivalry.
He was a cherished husband to Sarah (Potter) Jones, whose partnership with Tyler was a source of strength and happiness. Tyler also leaves behind a loving and supportive family: his father, Dewayne Clark Jones and wife Lacy (Anderson) Jones; mother, Tabetha Rae (Huse) Bywaters and husband Bruce Bywaters; grandparents, Rose Jones, Laurie Jackson, and Jeff Anderson; brother Andrew Jones; sisters Kaylin Dinnel, Jocelyn Jones, Addison Bywaters, Sophie Bywaters, and Elliahna Bywaters. These bonds, steadfast and true, were an integral part of Tyler’s life and legacy.
The family also remembers Raymond Jones, affectionately known as Gramps, grandfather Kenny Jackson and Taylor Dinnel, Tyler’s brother, both of whom preceded him in death. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them and in the stories that Tyler carried forward.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tyler’s name to Cook Children’s Health Foundation.
