Twila Faye Davis

Twila Faye Davis of Collinsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the age of 81.  Twila was born on September 4, 1942, to Alex and Nona (Moore) Landers at their home in Collinsville, where she remained a lifelong resident. Twila was double promoted and graduated from Collinsville High School at the age of 16 and immediately went to work. She made her career in accounting for Phillips Petroleum until her retirement.  Known as a hard worker for all her life, she helped her sister and brother-in-law with cleaning new construction sites until just a few years ago. Twila enjoyed doing yardwork and could often be seen working in her yard and tending to her plants and flowers.  She was a huge fan of the NBA and followed the Thunder, Golden State, Brooklyn and Phoenix.  Kevin Durant was her favorite player to watch. Twila’s Christian faith guided her through every aspect of her life.  On the Sundays she was unable to attend church, she spent the day watching the various pastors and church services on tv, listening to the messages given.  She loved southern gospel music and had read the bible all the way through multiple times.    Her greatest enjoyment came from her family.  Twila loved attending family reunions.  She loved traveling, and there were many trips shared with her family, where great memories were made.  The love she had for her daughter Deanna and grandchildren Philip and Piper was immeasurable.  Her memory will live on through them.

Twila is survived by her daughter Deanna Fulton; her brother Vernice Landers and wife Margaret; brother-in-law Charley Brackett; 2 grandchildren, Philip Young and Piper Fulton; and a host of extended family and friends.  Twila was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Gail Brackett.

Visitation: 9am-8pm, Monday, April 22, 2024 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.  Family will be present to receive guests from 5pm-7pm.

Funeral Service: 2pm, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at A Healing Touch Ministry with Pastor Jerry Moore officiating.  Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
