Timothy “Tim” Vaughn Mefford, 69, of Collinsville, passed away February 10 in the loving arms of his family. He was born on August 24, 1952 in Tulsa, to Ralph and Anna (Vaughn) Mefford. Tim was raised in Oklahoma and served his country in the Marine Corps from 1969-1973. He married Jude Stehl on April 16, 1983. They enjoyed 34 years of love and memories prior to her passing in 2017. Together they owned Merry Maids cleaning company for 18 years. Tim enjoyed music, playing poker, fishing, camping, and traveling, especially to the mountains. The greatest joy of his life was being with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
Tim is remembered and celebrated by his daughters Brenda Heath and husband, David, of Mokena, IL, Kelli Seiler, of Benson, AZ, Krista Bortnick, of Frankfort, IL and Ashley Mitchell, and husband, John, of Collinsville; grandchildren Evann Glazebrook, and husband, Jay, Jordan Heath, Madison Seiler, Wade Seiler, Preiss Mitchell, Vaughn Mitchell and Stehl Mitchell; great-grandchildren Iris Seiler, Gigi Glazebook, and soon-to-be baby Glazebrook; and many dear friends.
He was greeted by his loving wife Jude Mefford; his father, Ralph Mefford; his mother and stepfather, Anna and Jerry Preiss; daughter, Melissa Mefford; son, Roger Babiarz; sister, Toni Potts; and great-grandchild, Lincoln McGovern.
CHANGE OF VENUE: A Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the WEST MAIN EVENT CENTER 1011 W. Main Street, Collinsville, OK 74021.
