Thelma Erlene Hicks

Thelma Erlene Hicks, formerly of Oologah, OK passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Alvin, TX. She was born May 19, 1932 in Sperry, Ok to Phillip Isaac Sligar and the former Odessa Florence Catlett. Mrs. Hicks had lived in Oologah since 1982 before moving to Alvin, TX in 2013. She was a member of the A Healing Touch Ministry for many years.

Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at A Healing Touch Ministry with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery.

She is survived by 2 children: Jimmy Charles Hicks of Palmdale, CA and Kacina Spruell and her husband Charles Gorby of Alvin, TX, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers: G.H. Sligar of Talala and Bobby Joe Sligar and his wife Debbie of Talala and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton.
