Theda Faye Doss

Theda Faye “Cricket” Doss, 67, formerly of Tahlequah, OK, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 in Claremore, OK. She was born March 6, 1953 in Tulsa, OK to Eddie Eugene Henley and Eva Martin Henley. She had lived in Tahlequah most of her life having moved from Prattville. She married Leland “Sonny” Doss on December 29, 1975. Sonny and Cricket loved to play golf and fish together. Cricket also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a fantastic cook. For many years she took pride in cooking and hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 40 to 50 people.

Cricket was a giver and was always willing to open her heart and home to whom ever needed her.

She is survived by two children; Julie Doss Hendren and her husband Scott of Broken Arrow and Steve Doss and his wife Nicole of Collinsville. One sister Kay Hurst and her husband Jerry of Kellyville, OK and one brother; Nelson Henley and his wife Eva of Prattville. 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband Leland “Sonny” Doss, one grandson Austin Armstrong and one great grandson Elijah Turney. Two sisters, Lena Garrison and Wanda Phillips. One brother, Joe Henley.

Visitation will be noon to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Current Church in Collinsville with Mr. Nelson E. Henley and Mr. Frank Phillips officiating. Intermittent will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Tahlequah City Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
