Susan Mary Billa Kubovcsak

Susan Mary Billa Kubovcsak, formerly of Johnstown, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Talala, OK surrounded by her loving family.  She was 69.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Holy Trinity Church in Johnstown, NY.  Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Susan was born on August 15, 1951 in Gloversville, NY to Edward Michael Billa, Sr. and the former Dorothy Eileen Erkenbrack. She was a lifelong member of the area until moving to Talala to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Susan worked as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement.  Susan’s hobbies included baking, cooking, sewing, reading, completing word finds and crosswords.  She also enjoyed going to bingo, the casino, and bowling.  She was a member of the Saturday Night Howlers bowling league.  Most importantly, Susan enjoyed spending time with her family.  Especially her grandkids.

Susan is survived by her sons, Tim McCumber and wife Micha of the home, and Jason McCumber and wife Katie of Amsterdam, NY; her friend Sherman John Town; 6 siblings, Richard Billa, Barbara Hale and husband Robert, John Billa and wife Brenda, James Billa, Marianne Hebert, Mark Billa and wife Maureen; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her sister JoAnn Shirk; and two brothers, Edward Billa, Jr. and Thomas Billa.
