Shirley Ann Gilley

Shirley Ann Gilley, 51, of Talala, Ok passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 in Talala. She was born May 18, 1958 in Tulsa, Ok to Edward Odell Gilley and the former Betty Eledge. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She worked at Oklahoma Surgery, Inc. She was an Author, Poet, and Singer/Songwriter. She has several poems in the Library of Congress and has recorded several songs.

She is survived by her mother: Betty Gilley of Talala. 3 uncles: Bob Gilley of Altus, OK, Bill Gilley and his wife Patsy of Skiatook, OK and Johnny Gilley of Prue, OK. 1 Aunt: Sue Fike and her husband Reg of Yukon, OK. She is also survived by a host of cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father: Edward Odell Gilley, 1 sister: Janis Gilley.

Visitation is Friday, August 14, 2009 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery with Rev. Hermon Wood officiating. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
