Sara Jane Gilson

November 3, 1982 – July 23, 2026

Sara Jane Gilson, age 43, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, went to her final resting place on July 23, 2026.

Sara was born to Vern (Sandy) Gilson and Carissa (Chris) Dahl on November 3, 1982, in San Diego, California. She was the youngest of four children and graduated from Granite Hills High School.

After high school, Sara moved with her parents to Durango, Colorado, where she discovered her passion for cosmetology and met Holly, who became her lifelong best friend. She later ended up in Oklahoma, where she met Lyle Landers. The couple married in 2010 and made their home in Collinsville.

In September 2011, the couple welcomed their first child, Mia Grace. Just 21 months later, they welcomed their son, Tye Jameson.

Sara was complete once she became a mother. Her children were her everything. She was the “fun mom,” the one who always welcomed friends into her home, took the kids to a movie, or did whatever she could to put a smile on their faces. Her love, kindness, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her and will never be forgotten.

Sara is survived by her children, Mia Grace and Tye Jameson; her parents, Vern (Sandy) Gilson and his wife, Yolanda, and Carissa (Chris) Dahl and her husband, Jeff; two brothers; one sister; and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
