Ruth Ann Sossamon

Ruth Ann Sossamon, 79, of Collinsville, OK passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2010 in Tulsa. She was born June 10, 1931 in Marshall, AR to Fred and Veda (Sanders) Clemons. Ruth met and married Floyd Sossamon and together they raised twins. She has lived in the Collinsville area since 1969 having moved from Sallisaw. She worked for Pat Flanagan as a Legal Secretary. She was a member of the Meadowcreek United Methodist Church.

Ruth Ann Sossamon is survived by two children, Sharon Holloway and her fiancé Charles E. Malone of Bartlesville and F. Steven Sossamon and his wife Maryann of Toluca Lake, CA; and one granddaughter Erin Kate Sossamon of Toluca Lake, CA; one sister: Virginia Hurley of Yangtis, TX. and a host of family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Floyd.

Visitation for Ruth will be noon to 8:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2011 at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville with Rev. Brian Mangan. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com.
