Ross Vann, 66, of Oologah, OK passed away on Friday, September 28, 2007 in Muskogee. He was born in Adair County on June 14, 1941 to Peter Vann and the former Nannie Gibson. He had lived in the Collinsville/Oologah area since 1953 after moving from Twin Oaks, OK where he had attended Oaks Mission School. Before retiring, Mr. Vann worked as a maintenance supervisor for Cherokee Nation Enterprises in Catoosa. He was the yards manager for both the Collinsville and Dewey Livestock Sales Barns and had a great love of fishing. He will be missed by many.

Mr. Vann is survived by two children, daughter Patty Pereira and husband Jose and Chris Vann and wife Mindy; 2 grandchildren, Angelica Pereira and Derek Pereira; Reba Vann, his former wife of 41 years and mother of his children; his beloved family friend Leona Holland "Grandma Flossie"; and numerous siblings, family and friends.

Mr. Vann was preceded in death by his Parents, Peter and Nannie Vann.

Visitation for Mr. Vann will be held Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Monday, October 1, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Funeral Home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church in Oologah, OK with Rev Carroll Parnell officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at the Crittenden Cemetery of Chewey, OK, with Gerald Fixin officiating. Services under the direction of Collinsville Funeral Home.
