Rodney Glenn Mccreary

Rodney Glenn McCreary, 48, died Monday, Sept. 21. Rodney was born Dec. 16, 1966 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Enid Oklahoma. Rodney spent many years traveling the country and the state as a truck driver, and recently worked for the Cherokee Nation. He graduated from Collinsville High School in 1985. He served in the armed forces of the United States in the infantry for the Oklahoma National Guard for six years. During his services, he spent time training in England. Rodney was known as a hard worker, who always went beyond expectations. He enjoyed working with engines on cars and equipment, and enjoyed outdoor activities with his family and friends.

Rodney is survived by son, Adam McCreary; daughter, Kristy Sturgill; brother, Sham McCreary; sister-in-law Rhonda McCreary; sister Melinda Tolbart; sister, Clydette Brumley; brother-in-law, Art Brumley; sister, Joann Winzenburg; brother-in-law, Mark Winzenburg; sister, Shana McCreary; sister, Steffany Firme; brother-in-law, Dan Firme; mother, Dorthy Benge; step dad, Bill Benge; father, Glenn McCreary, step mother, Laura McCreary. He was also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Viewing is will take place at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home in Collinsville, Okla. Thursday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be held Friday, Sept. 25 at Rabbs Creek Baptist Church, 10100 S 4060 Rd. Talala, Okla., at 10 a.m. Graveside memorial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala, Okla.
