Robert Loyd Provance

Robert Loyd Provance of Collinsville, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. He was 69. Robert was born July 25, 1946 in Joplin, MO to Jessie Loyd and Julia Provance. Robert grew up in Missouri and later moved to Bartlesville and Ocheleta. He eventually settled in Collinsville where he met and married Carol Sue Hoffman.

Robert was a military veteran, working for the Air National Guard until his retirement. Robert enjoyed taking care of his horses and watching two of his favorite entertainers, John Wayne and Roy Rogers. He had a great love of old cars, especially convertibles. Robert was also a licensed barber. He was known for being a people person and generally good natured. He found pleasure in helping people. He will be missed.

Robert is survived by his mother, Julia Provance of Pawhuska; his wife Sue Provance of the home; son, Marty Ross and wife Carolyn of Raeford, NC; daughter, Tracy Leach of Collinsville; 2 sisters, Dianna Uptagrafft and husband Lamar of South Carolina, and Susie Provance of Pawhuska; grandchildren, Randy Lee Morgan, Brad Loyd Morgan, Darrell Boahn, and Lisa Boahn; and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Loyd Provance.

Visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 1:30-6:00 and Monday, December 7, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Carl Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111.
