Richard Lee Varner, Sr.

Richard Lee Varner Sr., 75, of Collinsville, OK passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was born in Gravette, AR on January 14, 1944 and was raised by Clifford Barnes and his mother Ruth (Root) Barnes. Rick had lived in Collinsville since 1981 where he worked as a truck driver for Darling International. He enjoyed spending time with his family and tending to his horses.

Rick is survived by his children, Rick Varner, Jr. and his wife Katie of Skiatook and Misti Dawn Varner of the home; his siblings, Mary Wilkins and Reuben Barnes; 3 grandchildren, Emily, Bridgitte and Breyden Varner; and a great-grandson, Paxton Varner; and a host of extended family and friends. His parents and his wife Louise Varner preceded Rick in death.

Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hermon Wood officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Word Cemetery northwest of Decatur, AR. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
