Richard "Dick" Leon Thomas

Richard Leon “Dick” Thomas, 84, of Talala, OK passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. He was born in Buckeye, NM on Nov. 21, 1939. He played football and graduated from East Central High School-Tulsa in 1957. He trained horses and worked odd jobs including being a truck driver. He met Judy Timbrook and her three sons in 1973. He married Judy and worked for Bill Lunsford until going into a successful construction business, providing a good living for her and three sons.

Dick loved to fish, listen to music and was always good with a joke or magic trick. He was always willing to help a friend or neighbor and had a very giving nature.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lena Thomas, 6 brothers: Leo Frank, Bobby Jack, Jim, John, Harold and Don.

He is survived by one brother: Doug Thomas, three sons: Brad, Kevin and Chris Haughn, grandchildren: Brandon, Brian, Matt, Chad, Lani, Corey, Tyler, Hollie, Mandy and Jace as well as several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including: Tommy Thomas, Lori Thomas and Mary Brandon, to name a few.

Memorial services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
