Rhonda Roberta Paul

Rhonda Roberta (Wode) Paul was born March 11, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert Beryl Wode and Letha Inez (Cartwright) Wode. She entered her eternal home on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Rhonda was affectionately welcomed into the family by her two-year old sister Arilla who called her Punkie Pie. So, Rhonda was Punkie Pie and Arilla was Sissy. They were called the Wode girls in the Collinsville community.
Rhonda attended Collinsville Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1969. She played the clarinet in the high school marching band and was supportive of many Collinsville Cardinal activities.
After graduation from high school, she pursued a business degree from Tulsa Business College where she was on the President's Honor Roll every semester.
She worked for Natkin Service Company for about five years as an assistant financial secretary and secretary to the Vice President. She met her future husband, who happened to be her boss's son, Gary Paul, at Natkin Service Company. She was also employed at Penta Star and was a bookkeeper for her parents' hardware business, Wodes, in Collinsville.
Rhonda was a member of several community groups, including: ESA, Collinsville Senior Citizens Board, and the Collinsville Education Foundation.
She has been a member of the Collinsville Senior Citizen Board for several years. She served as Vice-President and has currently served as President for the past five years. She served on the Collinsville Education Foundation Board since 1999 and was serving as Vice-President when she became ill.
Rhonda was active in the Collinsville Free Will Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and participated in the youth group and in competitive Bible activities. After she married, she and Gary became members of the South East Free Will Baptist Church in Tulsa for a time. When they moved, they joined the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. Rhonda could be found on Sunday mornings in the infant/toddler nursery where she served for forty years.
Rhonda was a great cook and there was always room for one more person at the table. She hosted many family dinners and impromptu meals for friends of her boys.
Rhonda & Gary celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in December of 2022. Her greatest gifts were her husband, her three sons and their wives, and her eight grandchildren who affectionately call her "Grammie”
She is survived by her husband, Gary; sons, Brian and Brooke Paul and their son Hunter of Collinsville; Ryan and Jennie Paul and their daughters Jayla and Rylan, and son Major of Tonkawa; and J.T. and Kat Paul and their daughters Piper, Madi, Aubrey and Emily of Collinsville. Her sister and brother-in-law, Arilla (Wode) and Pete Karlak of Owasso. A host of cousins and many lifelong friends.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 2, 2023 at the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, 100 N Olive Ave., Broken Arrow, Ok 74012 with Randy Wilson officiating.
