Raymond Morgan Sweeney passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. He was 76. Morgan was born on February 16, 1940 in Claremore, OK to Buel Maurice and Elvira (Martin) Sweeney. He served his country during the Vietnam War and remained in the United States Air Force until his retirement. Morgan was a lifelong member of the area, except for his time in the military, and always considered Oklahoma his home. He was currently living in Tulsa. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars and fishing. He had a lot of friends and family that will miss him dearly.
Morgan is survived by his children, Logan O. Garber, Richard C. Garber and wife Karen, Dennis A. Garber and wife Patricia, and Valarie R. Juntunen and husband Trevor; his brother Mike Sweeney; his significant other Danna Pancoast; and numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, family and friends. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Geraldine (Butts) Sweeney; his twin brother Ray Morris Sweeney and brother Donnie; his sister Thelma Sinyard; and his son Maurice F. Sweeney.
Visitation for Morgan will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016 at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, (918) 371-2111.
