Phyllis Eleanor Lyman Heaton

Phyllis Eleanor Lyman Heaton of Collinsville passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 in Claremore. She was 86. Phyllis was born March 7, 1924 to Lewis and Minta (McDonald) Lyman in Collinsville, OK. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Until her retirement, she worked as a hostess for Sky Chefs. Phyllis was a member or the First Baptist Church of Collinsville. Some of her hobbies included playing Canasta and board games, working in the yard, and attending reunions where she connected with old friends. Phyllis loved spending time with and eating out with her sisters. She loved her family dearly and will be missed.

Phyllis is survived by 4 children, Mike Heaton of Ketchum, Rick Heaton and Donna of Ketchum, Patti and Steve Limke of Paradise, TX, and Cheryl and Charles Hewlett of Owasso; 3 sisters, Peggy and Joe Ross of Vera, Donna Wright of Ramona, and Saundra Rogers of Sand Springs; 7 grandchildren, Matthew Heaton, Scott Heaton, Jennifer Amen, Julie Heaton, AmyBeth Limke, Thad Limke, and Kelsey Hewlett; 1 great grandchild, Lilly Amen; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lewis Heaton; 2 brothers, Dean Lyman and Elmo Lyman; and 1 sister, Betty Joiner.

The family wants to thank the staff at Wood Manor Nursing Center in Claremore for the wonderful care they gave to their mother.

Visitation for Phyllis will be held Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. that evening.

A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
