Phillip Joe Ogle, 69, of Collinsville, OK passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. He was born November 16, 1945 in Tulsa, OK to Sylvia (Meadors) and Harvey Benton Ogle. Raised in Sand Springs, he graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1963. Joined the Navy the same year where he served 3 years. He was stationed on North Folk, Virginia and Bayonne , New Jersey. He served two tours in the Bahamas and the Mediterranean. Some ports he traveled were Spain, Italy, Turkey, France, and Bermuda. He also traveled the U.S. and Old Mexico. He married Lynda L. Ogle on April 20, 1968.
Phillip (Joe) worked as a Machinist for 42 years for McDonnell Douglas and Gear Products.
Joe loved to go to Casinos in his retirement. He also loved to fish and hunt. Joe was a giving man, helping his brother-in-law who was deaf. Always offering a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Joe had a happy way of looking at life and laughed a lot He will be remembered by all who knew him. In the days that follow, in the years ahead.
Survived by his wife: Lynda Ogle, 1 daughter: Dana Denise Ogle, born July 23, 1970. 1 brother: Jerry W. Ogle of Prattville, OK. 1 sister: Mary M. Ogle of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces on both sides of his family.
Preceded in death by 1 child at 8 weeks of age and his parents.
Graveside services will 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK.
Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
