Nita Leona Vogt

Nita Leona (Frederick) Vogt left this earth for her Heavenly home, Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 85. Nita was born February 28, 1937 to Roy Stephen and Ardis Leona (Moyer) Frederick at the Sterling Hospital in Sterling, Kansas.

Nita grew up and received her education in Sterling, KS and met her husband while working as a nurse’s aide in Wichita, KS. She married Roy Freeman Vogt on July 22, 1962 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Wichita, KS. To this union were born, a son Douglas Wayne Vogt and a daughter Regina Gaye Vogt.

Later in life, Nita moved to Branson, MO and worked as a hotel clerk for Best Western until her retirement then moved back to Oklahoma to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Nita enjoyed going on bus tours, crafting, bird watching and genealogy. She had a great love for her family and friends and will be missed by many.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Frederick and Ardis (Moyer) Frederick of Sterling, KS., one grandson, Justin Mathew Vogt of Oologah, OK, and her former husband, Roy Freeman Vogt of Oologah, OK.

Nita is survived by son, Doug and wife Lisa of Oologah, OK and grandchildren, Daniel Vogt & wife Meghan, Tyler Vogt, Brooke Mallonee and Taylor Mallonee; daughter, Regina Vogt and grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell & husband Chris, Angela Collins, and Shawn Collins as well as several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 22 ^nd ,2022 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel

Cremation services have been entrusted to Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
