Michael John Hoffman

Michael John Hoffman 74, passed Monday, August 16, 2021. Mike was born in Tulsa, March 8, 1947 to Mike and June Hoffman. He was proceeded in death by his parents and former wife Cynthia. Mike grew up in Collinsville and was always a fun loving guy that charted his own path  in life. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and received citations for Heroism under fire. He retired from the BNSF Railroad after a long career as an inspector. He was known to his railroad buddies as “Digger”. He was an avid collector of unique Western and railroad memorabilia. He wrote many fun poems and songs about his life’s travels and experiences. Mike was a Christian and loved telling others about the Gospel and the salvation found only in Jesus name.

Mike is survived by his wife Janie of Tulsa, his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angelah Hoffman and his grandchildren, Elise, Hannah, Chloe, Michael and Samuel all of Colcord. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanne Worrell of Wimberley, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Cynthia Hoffman of Tulsa and cousin Linda Mattox of Sallisaw.

A graveyard service will be held on Tuesday, August 24 at 10 am at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
