Michael Paul Floyd of Oologah passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. He was 61. Mike was born on December 2, 1956 in Tulsa to Herbert C. and Patsy (Shipman) Floyd, Jr. He worked as a welder and was a member of the Iron Workers Local Union #584. During this time, he traveled around the country where he helped build everything from Wal-Marts to high rises. Mike was a former member of ABATE of Oklahoma and participated in many toy runs. Not only did he enjoy riding his motorcycle, he also loved tinkering with them. He always had some project to work on, whether it be a bike or a project around the house. He liked to keep busy. Mike will be missed by many.
Mike is survived by his life partner Jeanith Goad of the home; his daughter Shanna Eicher and husband Shane; stepdaughter Janenna Goad; daughter-in-law Samii Floyd; his sisters Sandi King and husband Mark and Dana Pruett and husband Rick; 5 grandchildren, Allie Eicher, Easton Eicher, Greysee Floyd, Grant Floyd, and Jacob Cathcart; 4 nephews Ryan King, Joel King, Brian Stratton, and Greg Stratton; and a host of extended family and friends. His parents and his son Michael Shane Floyd preceded Mike in death.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville in the Impact Center on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations the day of the service to help cover expenses.
