Melba Joyce Johnson, 81, of Oologah, OK passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Tulsa, OK. She was born August 15, 1927 in Tulsa OK to Alexander Deramo and the former Annie E. Ford. She had lived in Oologah since 1962. She was a previous member of the Assembly of God Church in Oologah, OK. She was a member of the Oklahoma Homemakers Association, Modern Priscilla Club and Collinsville Round Up where she had served as Secretary. She had also been a seamstress for the Little Theatre, Tulsa Opera and Miss Missouri.
She is survived by 2 sons: Floyd P. Williams, Jr. and his wife Constance of Oologah and Robert L. Johnson and his wife Donna of Liberty, MO. 1 sister: Naomi Black of Davenport, OK. 3 brothers: Sam Deramo and his wife Pat of Depew, OK, Doug Deramo and his wife Wanda of Bristow, OK and John Deramo and his wife Margie of Talala, OK. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leroy Johnson, 3 Brothers: David H., Lloyd, and Bill Thomas Deramo.
Funeral services will be 10:00, Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Oologah Assembly of God with Rev. Kent Jensen officiating. Interment will follow at the Wann Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2008, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 19, 2008, 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
