Maxine McMannis, 92, passed away May 3, 2011 in her home in Davenport, Oklahoma. She was born October 1, 1918 in Collinsville, Oklahoma, the seventh and last surviving child of eleven born to Laura Glo (Miller) and Francis Norman Gaylord. She was of the Baptist faith. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Eli E. McMannis, nine brothers, Herschell, Harold, Orland, Ardyce, twins Lexie and Lester, twins Otis and Oakley, and Clark, and one sister, Lucille Tracy. Survivors include Sharon Tracy of Wister, Francis & Mary Tracy, and Dick Tracy, all of Muskogee, Norma Logsdon, Lola Reeves, Grady & Margaret Gaylord, Wanda & Francis Coulter, all of Collinsville, Shirlene & Don Kerr, Wayne & Jan Gaylord, all of Owasso, Darlene & Joel Martin of Grove, Garrett & Patty Haiflich, and Frankie & Wendell Mount, all of Hominy. Mary & Joe Galbreath of Broken Arrow, C.L. Gaylord of Tulsa, Donnie & Billie Gaylord of Davenport, and Linda Bates of Houston, TX., her nephew Donnie Gaylord and wife Billie of Davenport, great-nephew Brad Gaylord, wife Lisha and children Clarissa Gaylord and Cole Mays of Davenport, great-nephew Clint Gaylord and wife Heather and children Peyton and Autumn of Davenport, and great-nephew Grant Gaylord and wife Diana and children Kristabella, Kourtland and Keagan of Stroud, and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends. Services were held in Collinsville, Oklahoma on May 9, 2011 with burial following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Chandler, Oklahoma. On-line condolences may be left at www.collinsvillefh.com. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Chandler, OK.
