Maxey Roy Thompson

Maxey Roy Thompson, 79, of Talala, OK passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 in Talala. He was born December 25, 1939 in Kemp, TX to JC Thompson and Bertha Thompson. He has lived in Talala since 1998 having moved from Colleyville, TX. He served in the Coast Guard, 1959 to 1963. He worked for and retired from Dresser Industries after 25 years. He served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville. Maxey loved his family more than anything and spent all of his time with them. He also loved golf and horses and was an avid Sooner fan.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Noon to 8:00 pm at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Collinsville with Dr. Tim Prock officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy , 2 daughters: Malinda Taylor and her husband Mike of Talala and Cynthia Kellogg and her husband Brian of Talala, 6 grandchildren: Joshua Taylor and his wife Amber, Jacob Taylor, Braden Kellogg, Jared Taylor and Katie Kellogg, 1 great-grandchild: Lucas Glenn Taylor. He is also survived by 1 sister: Karen Ritchie and her husband Don of Oologah.
