Mary Dolores Bewley

Delores Bewley of Collinsville, OK died November 24, 2021. Wife of recently deceased John Bewley, mother of Willie and Barbara Bewley and Patricia Coons.  Born in Tulsa, OK, July 30, 1935 to Roy and Hazel Burgin who proceeded her in death, as well as her brother Leroy Burgin.

In 1954 Delores graduated from Collinsville High School, and in 1956 from Draughon’s Business School in Tulsa. In 1958 Delores married John and together raised three children.  They owned and operated Bewley’s Manufacturing in 1973 that’s still a family ran business today. In 1990 John and Delores retired, traveling the states until 1999 they landed at a home at Lake Ft. Gibson. Where Delores who enjoyed being outdoors fished and jet ski all day.

Finally, the dream home was built in Collinsville for what Delores loved the most, playing with the grandkids.

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Kyle, Dylan and Johnathan Bewley, Larry, Bryce and Allison Coons, Andrew O’Bannon, and Amber Box. 8 great grandchildren; Tyler, Cooper, Brelyn, Brody and Paisley Bewley, Addison O’Bannon, Piper Hegland and Sawyer Box.

Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Current Church with Rev. Jim Carney officiating.  Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery.
