Marvin Russell Pavey

Marvin Russell Pavey passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 in Collinsville, Oklahoma. He was 82. Marvin was born September 8, 1924 in Collinsville to Lemuel and Edith (Girkin) Pavey. A lifetime resident of Collinsville, he married Beulah Hines on December 23, 1949. Marvin served in the Navy during World War II. Following his release from the Navy, he worked in construction through the years. Marvin was a Deacon of the First Assembly of God in Collinsville, the Chaplain of the USS Batfish Association, and a member of the VFW. He also loved working as a Tulsa Auxiliary Policeman. He will be missed by many.

Marvin is survived by his Wife, Beulah Pavey of the home; 2 Children, Malcom Pavey of Tucson, AZ and Marlethea Burcham and Husband Landon of Denver, CO; 1 Granddaughter, Kitzie VanderKooi and Husband Tim of Collinsville, OK; 1 Brother, Marion Pavey of Talala, OK; 1 Sister, Dorothy Harrold; several nieces and nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by one Grandson, Joshua Wilson.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2007 at Collinsville Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Assembly of God Church in Collinsville.
