Marshall Dean Taylor

Marshall Dean Taylor was born in an old two story home on May 13, 1949 in rural Oologah, Oklahoma. He entered into rest on Friday, January 24, 2014.

He completed his entire pre-college career at Oologah Schools in 1967. In 1971 he completed his Bachelors Degree in Education from Northeastern Oklahoma State University. That August he started his career as a high school mathematics teacher in Owasso. That career ended after 4 years at Oologah High in May of 1975. He then entered the Pipefitters Local 205 apprenticeship program and became a pipefitter. Welding and construction kept his interest for 10 more years before becoming a permanent welder for American Airlines in November of 1984.

He enjoyed a variety of hobbies which included roping and riding horses, spending weekends at the lake camping and spending time with many family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Roy Henry Taylor and Opal Mae Taylor and sister Goldie Ann Boyd, all of Oologah.

He is survived by his wife Francine Taylor in their Chelsea home. Two sisters; Pearlene Evans and husband Ralph of Oologah and Linda Pavey and husband Danny of Collinsville. Five children; Jeremy Watkins and wife Wendy of Sandy Utah, Amanda Salt and husband Brent of Oologah, Zach Taylor and wife Stephanie of Oologah, Casey Taylor of Monte Vista Colorado, Cody Taylor and wife Crystal of Tulsa. Nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services were held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday the 28th of January at Zion Hill Church in Oologah Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
