Obituary

Marsha Ann Lee (Wilson), age 77, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away on April 8, 2026.

Marsha was born on November 12, 1948, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to William Riley Wilson Jr. and Jewell Latrell “Judy” Wilson.

She graduated from Norman High school, attended secretarial school at Vo-Tech and later worked as a secretary for the Oklahoma Securities Commission in the 1980s. Above all, Marsha was proud to be a homemaker—a role she cherished deeply as she devoted her life to caring for and supporting her family.

Marsha faced many challenges throughout her life, including living with health conditions, which ultimately limited her ability to work. Despite this, she demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience, always striving to be the best mother, daughter, and friend she could be.

During the time of the Oklahoma City bombing, Marsha lived in Regency Tower next to the Murrah Building. In the midst of that tragedy, she bravely assisted a blind couple in evacuating their damaged building—an act that reflected her compassion and quiet strength.

She is survived by her children: Christy Rowden and husband Steve Rowden; Eric Lee and wife Leslie Lee; and Angela Lewis and husband Christopher Lewis. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Mackenzie Stanley and husband James Stanley, Abigail Rowden, Asher Rowden, Mercy Rowden, Karis Lee and fiancé Jonas Berney, Alexa Lee, Lance Owen, Chloe Lewis, Luke Owen, and William Owen.

Marsha is also survived by her beloved sister, Jeanette James and husband Dick James, and her loving brother, Bill Wilson and wife Jenny Roan. Their constant love, care, and support meant the world to her, and she especially cherished their phone calls, visits, and thoughtful gifts—particularly chocolate.

She is also survived by her nephew Bill Wilson and his wife Debbie, nephew Scott and wife Susan, niece Melody Hamby and her husband Dave, and nephew Ryan James and his wife Megha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Riley Wilson Jr. and Jewell Latrell Wilson; her dear friend Linda Sue Marshall; and many beloved pets, including her dog Fifi and bird Elmer.

Marsha will be remembered for her generosity, even when she had very little. Family members could always count on receiving a handwritten birthday or Christmas card, often with a few dollars or a gift card tucked inside. She faithfully supported Christian ministries and was passionate about sharing her belief that God’s Word holds the answer to life’s challenges. She often gifted engraved “God’s Promises” books, hoping to encourage others in their faith.

Her faith was deeply personal and intentional. Marsha kept a special prayer bag where she carefully wrote down her prayer requests, faithfully tracking each one and noting when God answered them. It was one of the many ways she lived out her belief that God was always present and listening.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to Dionne Warwick and Barbra Streisand, watching classic movies and musicals, and reading the Bible from cover to cover over twenty five times. Marsha loved her home and found comfort in familiar routines, especially relaxing in her recliner. In her later years, she faced dementia with quiet perseverance, preferring the peace of home and the presence of loved ones.

Marsha had a sweet tooth and a few favorite treats, including cream horns, Little Debbie Nutty Bars, chocolate in any form, Dr Pepper, and ice cream sandwiches.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Christy Rowden for her extraordinary care, love, and devotion to Marsha. Christy created a warm and comforting environment for her, ensuring she was surrounded by her favorite things, from music to treats. Her selfless care, especially in Marsha’s final days, brought peace and comfort that will never be forgotten. The family also wishes to express deep appreciation to Sheila Holland, Marsha’s devoted provider and friend for many years, as well as to the many nurses who supported Marsha and provided extraordinary care and compassion to both her and her family during her final days.

A graveside service will be held on April 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma, with services provided by Dolton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support care services at Baptist Village, where Marsha both lived independently and later received nursing care: https://baptistvillage.org/giving/

Marsha’s life was marked by love, faith, resilience, and generosity. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
