Margie Marie Waters

Margie Marie Waters, 89, of Collinsville passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Owasso, OK. Margie was born in Leslie, AR on November 7, 1921 to John M. and Dorothy (Mabrey) Sanders. She met and later married Charles Wesley Waters on October 17, 1943 in Tulsa, OK. They moved to the Collinsville area in 1961. Margie and Wesley were happily married for 63 years. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2005. Margie worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Some of her hobbies included reading the newspaper and taking care of animals, especially strays. Margie was a gentle and peaceful spirit who will be missed by many.

Margie is survived by her Great Nieces and caretakers, Sheila Stringer and husband Brad, Kathy Howell and husband Roger, and Jeri Yates and husband Lad; her Niece, Patti Ferry and husband Jerry; her Nephews, Jerry Sharpe, Jim Sharpe, Tim Sharpe, and Michael Sharpe; her Great Nephew, Richard Sanders; and numerous Great-Great Grandnieces and Grandnephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Kermit Sanders, and her Nephew.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel. The Interment will be held 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5115 South Memorial Drive in Tulsa. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com.
