Mable G. Driskill

Mable Geraldine Driskill, 95, of Collinsville, OK passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 in Owasso, OK. She was born February 22, 1916 in Allison, KS to Ernest T. and Bertha Wheelock. She married Harold Driskill on June 1, 1935 in Neosho Falls, KS. They moved to Collinsville in 1945. She had work has a Deputy City Clerk for the City of Collinsville. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebecca Lodge, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary , Founder the of the Green Thumb Garden Club. She loved Bowling, playing Canasta and Bridge having played Bridge the Tuesday before she passed away. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Collinsville.

She is survived by 3 children: Don Driskill and his wife Birlene of Kenai, Alaska, Geraldine Abel and her husband Don of Collinsville and Jay Dee Driskill and his wife Nora Ann of Bixby. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold, 1 son, Gary Lynn Driskill, 1 sister, Mae Marie Helm and 1 brother, George William Wheelock.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Brinkley officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
