Mabel Francis Hixon

Mabel Francis Hixson, 89, formerly of Collinsville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 in Nashville, TN. She was born November 19, 1919 in Streator, IL to Earl and Mabel Phillips. She lived in the Collinsville area for 50 years before moving to Tennessee. She loved to paint and spend time with her family. She will be missed by many.
Mabel is survived by 3 daughters, Carol Lyon and Sandra Brumfield both of Collinsville, and Linda Harless and her husband Glen of Nashville, TN; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mabel; her husband, Sidney Lyon, Sr.; and 2 children, Donna Alvarado and Richard Baker.
Visitation for Mabel will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Miracles of Faith Church with Rev. Jim Carney officiating. Under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
