Lloyd Bryant Williams

Lloyd Bryant Williams of Vinita, OK passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008. He was 77. Lloyd was born June 2, 1931 in Lamar, AR to Charles and Wilma Williams. He served in the Air Force from 1950 – 1954. After leaving the military, he worked as a Grocer for 57 years until his retirement. He met and married Shirley Adkins and together they raised 2 children. They have lived in Vinita for the last 6 years having moved from Claremore. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and going to the horse races. He will be missed by many.

Lloyd is survived by his Wife, Shirley of the home; 2 Children, his Son Gregory Bryant Williams and his Wife, Melissa of Claremore and his Daughter, Lisa Jane Dover of Vinita; 1 Brother, Jerry Kay Williams and his Wife, Lisa of Nowata; 2 Grandchildren, Jennifer Riley and Jessica Williams; and 1 Great Grandchild, Ava Riley; Nieces and Nephews, family and friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and a younger Brother, Charles Faye Williams.

Visitation for Lloyd will be held Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the Oologah Dolton Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The family will be receiving guests from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Talala with Bill McComb officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala. Under the direction of Oologah Dolton Funeral Home, www.collinsvillefh.com.
