Linda Sue Blackwell, 57, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born May 12, 1949 in Oaklawn, Illinois to Gilbert and Virginia (Craig) Hamson. She married Roy Blackwell in 1981, and together they raised her son, Brian. They moved from Illinois to Oregon, where they lived for 17 years. After which, they moved to Collinsville, where they have resided for the last 6 years.
Linda adored her family. She believed that family came first. Her love for her grandchildren was well known, as she showed it often. She had great faith in the Lord. Linda was highly active in the Meadowcreek United Methodist Church, which she was a member of. One thing people may not be aware of, she was a good bowler. She will definitely be missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her Husband, Roy Blackwell of the home; 1 Son, Brian Patete and his wife Judy of Collinsville; her Grandchildren, Kristle and Kaylee Patete of Collinsville; 1 Sister Doris McNamara and her husband Richard; 1 Brother-in-law, Ron Holden; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Gilbert and Virginia Hamson, 3 Grandchildren, Larry Patete, Christopher Patete, and Ashly Patete, and 1 Sister, Trudy Holden.
Visitation is set for 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2006 and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Collinsville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church in Collinsville. Interment follows at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Owasso, Oklahoma.
