Lila Charlotta Denegar

Lila Charlotta Denegar, 78, of Talala, OK passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. She was born April 9, 1939 in Tuttle, OK to Allan John and Alta Charlotta (Daniel) Simmons. She married Howard November 25, 1958 in Tulsa, OK. She was a very active member of the Oologah United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for several years. She retired as a cook for the Oologah-Talala Public Schools. She was a huge Oologah Sports Fan, never missing a home game. She enjoyed genealogy.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family present 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Oologah United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jennifer Long officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Denegar of the home. 2 children: Kim Prather and her husband Ray of Talala and Harold Denegar of Talala. 7 grandchildren: Tiffany Prather, Sheila Prather, Scotty Belcher, Anya Denegar, Nigel Denegar, Kaley Denegar and Kaylisa Denegar. 1 brother: Charles Simmons of Wichita Fall, TX. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a grandson: Seth Prather and a sister: Ruth Dedering.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
