Lawrence William John Munro

Lawrence William John Munro, 78, of Talala passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Tulsa, OK. He was born February 13, 1944 in Washington, DC to Eric Munro and the former Sybil Taylor. He retired from AEP/PSO in 2009 after 35 years. He loved model trains and was a former Volunteer Firefighter for the Northwest Fire Department and previously served as a Reserve Deputy Sherriff for Rogers County. He married Barbara Lydia Munro on September 3, 1972, she precedes him in death.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Talala.

He is survived by 3 children: Diane Clinton and her husband Eric of Talala, Gaila Hampsten and her husband Dale of Guymon, Ok and John Bortner and his wife Erin of Jenks, OK. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and12 great-grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
