Lavona Lee Kamalakis

Lavona Lee Cash Kamalakis was born on October 24, 1938 in Montrose, Colorado to Susie Elizabeth Rush and Meril Owen Cash.  She went to be with her precious Lord on February 11, 2023.

Lavona graduated from Laverne High School in 1956 and furthered her education to become a nurse.  She attended Enid General Hospital School of Nursing in Enid, Oklahoma and passed her RN Boards on October 1, 1959.  After 30 plus years of working in surgery, Lavona retired from St. John Medical Center.

Lavona was very active and was a member of the Eastern Stars Oologah Chapter and also has been an officer in the Grand Chapter.  She loved doing crafts and made several center pieces for tables, napkin holders, and gifts for friendship night.  She also made programs for the Eastern Stars and would specialize each one.

Lavona loved her grand and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.  It made her heart happy as she talked about each one and how fast they were growing up!

She is survived by daughter Pam Holbert of Tuttle, son Demetrius II and wife Wendy of Brentwood, CA, son Jason and wife Julie of Jenks, and brother Lyle Cash of Laverne, 5 grandchildren, Christopher and wife Sarah Low of Oklahoma City, Brittney Low of Edmond, Mikaela and husband Chris Frumusa of Oakley, CA, Nick and wife Madison Kamalakis of Midland, TX and Christian of Jenks, OK, 6 great grandchildren, Jacob, Dalton, and Lily Low of Oklahoma City, Hazel and Piper Frumusa of Oakley, CA and Selah Kamalakis of Midland, TX.

She was preceded in death by husband Demetrius I, mother and father Susie and Meril Cash, brothers Donald Dean, Billy, and Bob Cash, and great granddaughter Madison Low.

Visitation: Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Friday, February 24, 2023 at Collinsville First Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Prock officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Talala.
