Larry Aden Buster

Larry Aden Buster, 79, of Oologah, OK passed away January 20, 2023, in Oologah. He was born March 24, 1943, in Claremore, OK to Noel Leon Buster and the former Dorothy Douglass. He graduated from Oologah High School in 1961 as valedictorian, he then received his degree from Northeastern State University and then went on to get his master’s degree. He taught high school math for 29 years, he retired from Oologah High School in 1994. After retiring, he then had the time to devote fulltime to his lifelong dream of raising Registered Beefmaster Cattle. He mentored many ranchers to get into the Beefmasters Business. Went on to become one of the top experts in Beefmaster breed and will be sorely missed by many Beefmaster breeders and many other friends.

Visitation will be noon to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the Oologah United Methodist Church with Minister Craig Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Oologah, OK.

He is survived by 1 brother: Ronald L. Buster and his wife Yvonne of Choctaw and 1 sister: Brenda Ulrey of Oologah, OK. 4 nephews: Randy Buster, Brad Buster, Casey Ulrey and Dusty Ulrey. He is also survived by 3 great-nephews: Colt Ulrey, Cordell Ulrey and Cooper Ulrey.
