Kent Thomas Duff

Kent Thomas Duff of Talala, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the age of 70.  Kent was born on September 21, 1952, to Ted and Alma (Spradlin) Duff in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  When Kent was 9, the family moved back to Lindsay, Oklahoma after the death of Kent’s father.  After graduating from Lindsay High School, he attended Okmulgee Tech where he trained in HVAC.  While at Okmulgee Tech he met and married Bonnie Lemons and made their home in Tulsa.  He became a repair technician for Sears.  Their son Chris was born in 1977.  The family moved to the Talala area in 1988 and Kent continued to work at Sears until his retirement in 2010.  In 2016, Kent married Alladean Rogers where they continued to reside in Talala.  His hobbies included riding motorcycles, playing horseshoes, fishing and hunting. Kent was best known for his devotion to his church.  While attending the Oologah Assembly of God, he served in many different roles.   From board member to men’s ministry leader, to door greeter and van ministry, he could be counted on to help where needed.  He was also a dedicated member of the prison ministry for Rogers County. Kent was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Kent is survived by his wife Alladean Duff of the home; his son Chris Duff and wife Sandra of Nowata and their two daughters Sage Leann and Avery Michelle; his stepdaughter Jessica Chalk of Owasso and her two sons Levi James and Trevor Kayden; 1 brother, James Duff and wife Carol of Vermont.  Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Duff and Alma Duff Freeman, and his stepfather, Bonnie Joe Freeman.

Visitation for Kent will be 9:00 am – 8:00 pm. Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Friday, September 1, 2023, at the Oologah Assembly of God with Pastor Kent Jensen officiating.
