Katharina Bowlan of Collinsville, Oklahoma died May, 21, 2022. Katharina was born Dec. 9, 1940 in Bergham, West Germany to Ludwig and Maria Hofmeister.

Graveside Service: 10:00 am, Friday, May 27, 2022 at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.

Katharina (or Kitty as everyone called her) lived in Bergham, West Germany where she met and married Royce Bowlan who was stationed in the Army there. They had two children, Robert and Sharon and eventually moved to Collinsville.
Katharina got her citizenship in the United States in 1976.
Katharina was a homemaker until 1981 when she went to work for Murphy Switch. She worked at Murphy’s for 25 years and retired in June 2006.
She dedicated her life to taking care of her children and her grandchildren and their families. She also loved her family in Germany and missed them very much.
She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church of Collinsville.
She liked playing bingo and going to the casino. She also loved playing cards, dominos, games with her family and spending time with her friends.
She loved working in her yard and keeping her lawn and house looking nice.
She loved her two dogs Lucky and Snooky, and Snooky was her constant companion.
She was a wonderful mom, grandma, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by one son Robert Bowlan and his wife Christine. One daughter Sharon Hicks and her husband Lonnie. Three grandsons Joshua Hicks and his wife Alicia, Stacy Hicks and his wife Hannah, and Keith McDaniel. Granddaughter Katie Fuentes and her husband Fonzi. Three great grandchildren Dillon, Kelsey, and Kota Hicks. Two sisters Elfriede Edenhofer and Hildegard (Hilde) Svojka.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ludwig and Maria Hofmeister. Three brothers Ludwig, Willie, and Sepp Hofmeister. Five sisters Elizabeth (Lisle) Hartman, Maria (Mall) Hofmeister, Anna Bauhuber, and 2 girls who died at birth.
